Broken Accidents
Description
Work on the co-production of Broken Accidents began in March 2008. It is based on a book of the same name by Toronto author Phlip Arima. The project is inter-disciplinary and combines developed text and dance as the basis of expression. It builds on Newfoundlanders' story-telling tradition, deepening the relationship between narrative and movement, finding new connections between the body and the story.
This type of work is an exciting development for the performance community in St. John's. It is the first time in over twenty years that we are seeing a cast of multi-dimensional artists come together for the exploration and development of a theatre production with a predominately movement based approach.
